About Abu Garcia
Abu Garcia previously known as AB Urfabriken (in Swedish it means The Watch Factory). It was then renamed to Abu Svangsta as the company was in Svangsta, Sweden and it manufactured fishing reel equipment. Now the company is owned by Pure Fishing of United States. Its founder was Gote Borgstrom.
The company was first founded near a river named as Morrum in Blekinge, Sweden. It was founded in 1921 and its original manufactured taximeters, telephone timers and watches. The demand of these products decreased after the World War 2 and Gote was fond of fishing so he started manufacturing fishing reels.

In this year, the logo has an angry looking fish facing to the left and its right fin is covering two red blocks and on the right side of the blocks, Abu is written and below it, Garcia is written.
1950
In this year, the logo has PENN is written with a red background and blue outline in a customized square and on its left and right two sword fish are facing each other and on top of the square, there is a parrot fish facing right and on the bottom of the square, there is a yellow snapper fish facing to the right. Below all this, red cubes are still there and Abu Garcia is written in the same way. Below Abu Garcia, the text says ‘FOR LIFE’.
1999
In this year, all things disappeared except the red cubes and Abu Garcia is written in the same way.

In all the years, the text was written in Bold Calibri Body except FOR LIFE was written in Bank Gothic Medium font.
Color
In the first year, yellowish green, white, red and black color was used. In the second year, yellow, blue, red white, grey, and black color. In the last year, only red and black color was used.
