About Acura

Acura, the luxury and high-performance automobile brand, is a division of the Japanese car manufacturer Honda. The brand primarily operates in North America and was introduced on March 27, 1986, with a focus on luxury and performance automobiles. Acura currently markets its cars in the United States, Canada, Mexico, Panama, and Kuwait, and has previously sold vehicles in China, Hong Kong, Russia, and Ukraine. 

Acura made history as the first luxury division established by a Japanese automaker. The creation of Acura also coincided with the launch of Honda Clio, a JDM Honda dealership sales channel that sold luxury vehicles, joining the previously established Honda Verno. The following year, Honda Primo was launched.
