About Afghanistan Cricket Board
The official governing body of cricket in Afghanistan – formerly known as the Afghanistan Cricket Federation. The ACB represents Afghanistan at the International Cricket Council (ICC) and attained associate membership in June 2013, eventually becoming a full member in June 2017. Prior to that, it held affiliate membership since 2001. The ACB is also a member of the Asian Cricket Council.
In August 2021, leaders of the Taliban visited the headquarters of the ACB, accompanied by former Afghan national cricketer Abdullah Mazari. They instructed the cricket board to continue their activities as usual.
