Ariel Motor Company Ltd, located in Somerset, England, is a manufacturer of high-performance, low-volume motor vehicles. It was founded in 1991 as Solocrest Ltd. by Simon Saunders and was later renamed Ariel Motor Company Ltd in 1999.
The original trading company of the Ariel Owners Motorcycle Club (AOMCC), Ariel Motors, is still in existence and operates as a separate entity from Ariel Motor Company. Despite having only 30 employees, Ariel Motor Company is one of the UK's smallest automotive companies, producing up to 100 cars annually.
