About Benelli

Benelli Q.J. is an Italian manufacturer of motorcycles and scooters based in Pesaro, a city in the Marche region of Italy. Founded in 1911 in Pesaro, Benelli is considered the second oldest Italian motorcycle company still operating. The company is now owned by the Chinese company Qianjiang Motorcycle, which is part of the Geely Holding Group, since 2005. 

The design, development, and marketing of Benelli products take place at the company's headquarters in Pesaro, Italy, while production occurs at the parent company's facility in Wenling, China. While Moto Guzzi is the oldest motorcycle factory in non-stop operation since 1921, Benelli's founding date of 1911 arguably makes it the oldest Italian motorcycle factory still in operation, with only Peugeot being older, having established in 1898 and still producing motorcycles.
