About Dollywood

Dollywood is a theme park owned by actor and entertainer Dolly Parton and Herschend Family Entertainment. In 1961, it was previously known as Rebel Railroad, the name was changed to goldrush junction in 1970. The park’s name was again changed to goldrush in 1976 and it was again renamed to Silver Dollar City in 1977.

The theme park’s was finally named as Dollywood in 1985. The theme park is opened from March to January every year. Every year, more than 3 million people visit this place from around the world. The park is on 150 acres and there are more than 50 attractions and rides.
