About Ducati
Ducati or Ducati Motor Holding S.P.A manufactures motorcycles. Its headquarters is located in Bologna, Italy. Ducati is owned by Lamborghini and its parent company is Audi; a German company which is owned by Volkswagen Group. It was founded in 1926. Its current CEO is Claudio Domenicali. The company also manufactures accessories and clothing.
As of 2016, the company generated a gross profit of 731 million euros. The company was founded by Antonio Cavalieri Ducati along with his three sons, Bruno, Marcello, and Adriano. They first named the company as Societa Scientifica Radio Brevetti Ducati and they first manufactured radio components, condensers, and vacuum tubes.

In this year, the company’s logo is still related to radio components. It is now in a bolded circle, in the circle DUCATI is written in a rectangle and behind the rectangle italicized SSR is written.

In this year, the logo just had capitalized letters DUCATI with a white outline.
Ducati 1956 Logo
In this year, the logo became very much fancy and gave a royal look. The logo is a circle halved by two wings in parallel position. The left part of circle is filled with green leaves and the right part of circle is red and white D. The wings are dull golden and has text DUCATI MECCANIA BOLOGNA.
Ducati 1959 Logo
In this year, the logo was very compelling. There is a dull golden eagle facing to the right and below the talons, there is a wordmark flag with dull golden outline with blue inline. There is a slash on left side of the circle and MOTO DUCATI is written in uppercase letters.

In this year, there are now just a single eagle wing with black outline and white inline and with black filling and DUCATI is written in white.

What font does Ducati logo use?
In the first year and in 1967 and 1977, the font was customized. In the second year, DUCATI was written in simple but spaced bolded Calibri Body. In the third year, DUCATI used the same font style but the space was gone and CORSE with also in simple Calibri Body – both words are italicized. In the fourth year, straight lines sans-serif font was used. In the fifth year and in 1985, traditional typeface font was used. In this year, DUCATI was written in straight sans-serif font and MOTO was written in Unita Bold font. In the last two years, thick bold Calibri Body font was used.
