It was founded in 2000 by brothers Ken Xie and Michael Xie.
The CEO of the company is Ken Xie himself. The company made a grossing revenue of 3 billion dollars in 2021. They have more than 10k employees working for them on-site and remotely. The company was first named as Appligation Inc., later, it was changed to ApSecure and finally, it was changed to Fortinet or Fortinet Networks.
