About Google Play Newsstand
Google Play Newsstand, a news aggregator and digital newsstand service provided by Google, merged with Google News on May 8, 2018. The service was launched in November 2013 as a combination of Google Play Magazines and Google Currents. It allowed users to subscribe to magazines (in certain countries) and receive new issues and updates automatically.
Users could access the content through a dedicated Newsstand section on the Google Play website or via mobile apps for Android and iOS. The mobile apps also supported offline download and reading.
