About Great Lakes Loons
The Great Lakes Loons, an affiliate of the Los Angeles Dodgers, are a Minor League Baseball team belonging to the Midwest League. Situated in Midland, Michigan, they host their home games at Dow Diamond, which was inaugurated in April 2007.
On September 18, 2016, the Loons achieved their inaugural Midwest League championship by triumphing over the Clinton LumberKings, who are affiliated with the Seattle Mariners, with a score of 9-8. The Loons secured the championship series with a 3-1 victory, having previously won three-game series against the Tampa Bay Rays’ Bowling Green Hot Rods and the Detroit Tigers’ West Michigan Whitecaps in the earlier rounds.
