About Hooters
Hooters is an American restaurant chain that features waitresses who are dressed in tight orange shorts and tank tops. The company is headquartered in Atlanta, Georgia. Hooters was founded by six businessmen in 1983. The first restaurant was opened in Clearwater, Florida. As of December 2017, there were 412 Hooters restaurants in the United States. Hooters is the trade name of two privately held companies, Hooters of America, Inc. and Hooters, Inc.
It is well known for its good food and sports, especially the National Football League (NFL) games. The first Hooters restaurant was located near Clearwater Beach. But it wasn’t popular because there were no televisions to watch the game. So, they decided to put up TVs in every booth of the restaurant. They also started serving food so that everyone could enjoy the game comfortably. They expanded the business, and today, Hooters is also known as “The Sports Bar”.

Locations of Hooters
Hooters has many locations in the United States. The restaurant’s motto is “delightfully tacky but all-American” which can be interpreted as a play on its theme of girls in tight tank-tops and short shorts, with American patriotic themes or references to the Hooters’ menu or food.
Hooters also give free meals to soldiers in uniform. After a six-year absence from Canada, in 2011 Hooters announced plans to open 10 new franchises across the country under the development of ULC. As of 2013, two locations in Canada were open, one in British Columbia and the other in Ontario.

The Hooters logo is a stylized owl in the shape of an “H”. The owl is brown and white, and the “H” is orange. The logo also features the text “Hooters” in orange. The font used for the text is a curly, all-caps typeface. OO covers owl’s eyes which represent its creativity and wisdom.
The owl in hooter represents the wisdom, creativity, and kind-heartedness. The hooter is orange which represents cheerfulness. It also represents the warmth of the people sitting in hooters eating the food prepared by them. The Hooters owl logo became one of the most recognizable images in America. Many other restaurants have copied it without permission, but Hooters has had no trouble legally defending its trademark.
