About Memphis Redbirds
Situated in Memphis, Tennessee, the Memphis Redbirds represent a Minor League Baseball team that competes in the International League. They proudly serve as the Triple-A affiliate of the esteemed St. Louis Cardinals, from which they derive their name. The Redbirds call AutoZone Park their home stadium, which was established in 2000 and is situated in the heart of Downtown Memphis. Prior to this, the team played at Tim McCarver Stadium during the 1998 and 1999 seasons.
As an expansion team of the Triple-A Pacific Coast League (PCL), the Redbirds were established in 1998. Following Major League Baseball’s reorganization of Minor League Baseball in 2021, they became part of the Triple-A East, which subsequently transitioned into the International League in 2022. Throughout their history, the team has been led by a total of eight managers, guiding and mentoring over 500 players who have donned the Redbirds uniform.
