1946

            In this year, the logo has a grey basketball with two inverted green lines and National is written on top of Basketball and below it, association is written. All of these letters are in pink color and all the letters are capitalized.

1953

            In this year, the logo has a brown and white basketball and NBA is written in white color.

1962

            In this year, the logo has a grey and black basketball and NBA is written in black color.

2017

            In this year, the logo has a vertical square with soft curves. The square has two divisions – the left part is blue and the right part is in red color. There is a white figure running with a basketball in one hand in the center of the square.

Designing of NBA Logo

The BAA was founded and owned by the famous ice hockey areas owners and the first game of basketball was between Canadian and American teams. Canada hosted American teams and the first match was played on November 1^st of 1946. NBA logo is based on the following two things.

Colors

            In the first year, the logo used grey, green and pink colors. In the second year, the logo used brown and white colors.  Third year, the logo used grey and black colors. In the last year, the logo used red, white and blue colors.
