About Nexxus
Nexxus is a hair care company that sells quality shampoos, hair masks, conditioners, hair sprays, and related products. Nexxus was first launched in 1979 by Jheri Redding and his son Stephen J. Redding. Jheri was known as the legend of beauty industry and he first created three companies; Jhirmack Enterprises, Redken and Jheri Redding Products Co.
Stephen was also a well-known beauty care professional. Both father and son saw the emerging future of this industry and started Nexxus. The duo was inspired by the Greek language and came out with this name which means binding together or connecting.
Meaning and History of Nexxus Logo
The extra X in the company’s name represents Earth and nature united with science in Greek language. The company became famous in the year it was launched because it was the first company that had the ingredients of botanicals, vitamins, proteins and antioxidants. Nexxus changed their logo two times in the following years.

This product is specifically made for women and whoever used it, claimed that the quality of their hair improved. Nexxus soon launched a product for styling hair like perms, curls and hair color and these became a huge success because the 90s was the era of having perms, curls, and coloring hair. This year, the logo is the name of the company. You can see the letters NE and the two Xs are top of each other with the tails extended. The letters US are next to it; completing the word.
