About Princeton Rays

The Princeton Rays, formerly a Minor League Baseball team located in Princeton, West Virginia, competed as an Advanced Rookie-level team within the Appalachian League. They held affiliations with various Major League Baseball (MLB) franchises, most notably the Tampa Bay Rays.

Starting in 1988, the Princeton franchise joined the Appalachian League and initially had a two-season affiliation with the Pittsburgh Pirates. Following that, for the 1990 season, the team operated as a cooperative known as the Princeton Patriots. From 1991 to 1996, they were affiliated with the Cincinnati Reds.
