About PSL
The Pakistan Super League (PSL), also referred to as the HBL PSL due to sponsorship, is a Twenty20 cricket league exclusively for men. It features six franchise teams representing different cities. The league was established in 2015 under the guidance of the Pakistan Cricket Board. Unlike a setup where teams are independently owned, the PSL operates as a single entity with each franchise being owned and managed by investors.
In the group stage of the tournament, each team competes in a double round robin format, playing against all other teams twice. The points accumulated determine the top four teams that qualify for the playoffs, ultimately leading to the grand final.
