About Quintana Roo Tigers

The Quintana Roo Tigers, also known as Tigres de Quintana Roo in Spanish, are a professional baseball team based in Cancún, Quintana Roo, Mexico, competing in the Mexican League. Originally established in Mexico City in 1955, the team played in the city until the conclusion of the 2006 season. It was founded by industrial businessman Alejo Peralta and remained under the ownership of his son, Carlos Peralta, for an extended period. In 2017, the team was acquired by a consortium that included Fernando Valenzuela, a renowned Major League Baseball All-Star pitcher.
