In the early years, Scheels started as a general and hardware merchandize store in Minnesota. Frederick started the store with $300 which he got from a good harvest sell of potatoes. Frederick was a German immigrant. The sporting good section was added in 1954 and within a span of 2 years, the store was growing a lot. Scheels changed its logo two times in the following years.

The chairman of the company is Frederick’s father Steve D. Scheels. The home and yard hardware and equipment started in 1962. The company made a flagship store in Kansas in 2015 and it was based on 222,000 square feet with 2 stories. Scheels opened its second-largest store in Texas which was bigger than the first one; it was based on 331,000 square feet. Scheels changed its logo in the following ways.

            In this year, the logo is the name of the company which is written in all capital letters and is in red color. Below it, gear, passion and sports are written and all of these words are separated by a black dot. All of these letters are in small letters and are in black color. Designing of Scheels Logo

You will be surprised to know that even though the Scheels brothers were German immigrants, they still gave their services in the U.S. Navy during World War 1.
