About South Bend Cubs

Based in South Bend, Indiana, the South Bend Cubs are a Minor League Baseball team affiliated with the Chicago Cubs. They compete in the Midwest League and hold the distinction of being a High-A affiliate. Four Winds Field at Coveleski Stadium serves as their home ballpark. The team's name has undergone several changes over the years. Initially known as the South Bend White Sox from 1988 to 1993, they were affiliated with the Chicago White Sox during that period. This partnership continued until 1997. From 1994 to 2014, the team was known as the South Bend Silver Hawks. During this time, they were affiliated with the Arizona Diamondbacks from 1998 to 2014. In 2015, the South Bend Cubs emerged as the new identity for the team when they became an affiliate of the Chicago Cubs.
