About Verizon Media
Verizon Media now known as Verizon Communications Inc also known as Verizon is an American multinational telecommunications corporation of the Dow Jones Industrial Average. It was previously known as Bell Atlantic Corporations from 1983 to 2000. Its headquarters is in 1095 Avenue of the Americans, New York City, United States.
Its current CEO is Hans Vestberg. The company generated a total of 133 billion dollars in 2021. It was named as RBOCs (Regional Bell Operating Companies). In 2000, the company changed its name to Verizon. Verizon acquired AOL in 2015 and after two years, it also acquired Yahoo Inc.
Meaning and History Verizon Media Logo
Verizon Media’s predecessors are GTE, NYNEX, Bell Atlantic and AT&T Corporations. In 1984, the US Department of Justice ordered AT&T Corporations to divide Bell Systems into seven companies and each of those companies were named after Baby Bells. Verizon Media changed their logo 4 times in the following years.

Bell Atlantic became one of the Baby Bells and its headquarters is in Philadelphia. It then gave birth to C&P Telephone, Diamond State Telephone, Bell of Pennsylvania and New Jersey Bell companies. Verizon Media changed their logo in the following years.

In this year, the logo has a bell in a small circle and on its right, Bell Atlantic was written and the A had a small wave near the dash and going from left to right.

In this year, the logo is a rectangle. The rectangle has two parts. The lower part is light blue and white waves and on top of it is the bell in the circle and Bell Atlantic is written. This part of rectangle is dark blue. The wave near the dash of A is gone.

2000
In this year, the company’s name changed to Verizon. Now, there is a red tick and below it, Verizon is written in small case and the edge of the Z is extended to N.

In this year, Verizon is still written in small case and the Z is now normal. The red tick on the right after N and is now small.

Building of Verizon Media Logo
Yahoo acquired by Verizon Media is an American multinational technology company that works on online businesses and media. Yahoo and AOL was merged into Oath Inc. from 2017 to 2019. We have divided the Verizon Media into two parts.
Font
In the first year, bold Calibri Body font was used. And then bold Times New Roman font was used. Third in the third year again bold Calibri Body font was used but now it was italicized. In the last year, the italicized was removed and the rest of the font style was the same.
Color
In the first year, only black and white color was used. And then light blue, dark blue, and white color was used. In the last two years, black and red color was used.

Conclusion
Verizon Media logos are alright. Though we liked the second logo of Bell Atlantic as it represented the Atlantic side and the wave in the A was very creative. Though we still don’t understand why the designers did not add anything about the media in the logo.
