Headquartered Norcross Georgia and Atlanta metropolitan area Waffle house was founded back 1954 by Joe Rogers Sr., who wanted to provide fast service but also quality food at low prices for everyone's breakfast needs so he opened up "Waffles" which became known as “The Home of The Best Double Stack Strawberry Banana Layer Cake”

Waffle House is a restaurant chain that specializes in breakfast foods such as waffles, omelets, and pancakes. The restaurant also offers burgers, salads, and other items for lunch and dinner. Waffle House is known for its Southern comfort food and friendly service.

The first Waffle House opened on Labor Day weekend in 1955 at 2719 East College Avenue in Avondale Estates, Georgia. That restaurant was conceived and founded by Joe Rogers Sr (1919–2017) with his friend Tom Forkner (1920-2017). The two had met while both worked for Toddle Houses back home before they became regional managers themselves. It all started when they bought a house from each other.
