The Artega logo is not easy to crack. You have to dig deep into the history of a Germany’s city called Delbruck. This may be the only car manufacturing company that must have spent a huge amount of time in designing their logo.

History of Artega Logos

The logo is a customized shape of a shield with a stretched bottom. It is a 2 nested shield. The first layer is in grey color and the second layer is in black color with white color fill. Inside on top of the shied in the black layer, Artega is designed in white color. The first letter is capitalized and the rest are in smallcase. The font is similar to Times New Roman. The center of the shield is divided into two parts.
The left one has a tree with 10 red fruits growing on it. These fruits are basically berries and each berry represents 10 districts of Dulbruck. Delbruck’s local most consumed fruits included pears, cherries, apples, and berries. While some suggest that the 10 fruits may also be apples but we reckon that these fruits are quite similar to berries.
The right part has a dog in it standing on its hind legs and facing right. The dog has its tongue out. The dog represents a specific and famous dog breed of the city called Delbrücker Schäferhund (Delbruck Shepherd Dog).
This dog breed was famous in the 19th and the 20th century – these dogs were known for their herding abilities, loyalty, and intelligence. These dogs played a huge role in the agricultural development of the city. The dog in the flag is a tribute to the local culture, traditions, and community.

Artega is also known as Artega Automobil GmbH & Co. KG. It is a sports car manufacturing company based in Germany. It was started in 2006 by Klaus Dieter Frers. The company is headquartered in Delbruck, Germany. Its current CEO is Peter Muller. The founder was a mechanical engineer at AEG-Telefunken and moved to another Nixdorf Computer. Klaus founded 2 companies naming: Paragon AG in 1999 and Paragon Electronics GmbH in 1988. He then merged the two companies and founded Artega in 2006. The name of the company was suggested by Manfred Gotta who was a German brand development expert. The company displayed its first prototype in 2007’s Frankfurt Auto Show; the car was Artega GT. Another Special Edition of this car was shown at 2008’s Geneva Auto Show. The production of the cars began in 2009.

Artega GT’s design was suggested by Henrik Fisker who is a renowned car designer. He was also the designer of BMW Z8 and Aston Martin DB9.
