1957
This is the first Changan logo. The logo consists of a red oval with white color fill and red customized arrowhead designed in the center of the oval. The arrowhead’s tip is oval-shaped and is extended outside the borders of the red oval. On the right side of this design is the name of the company designed in black with all uppercase letters using customized Titanfall Frontline font type.
1998
This is the second Changan logo which is very much similar to the 1957 Changan logo. The logo is designed in 2D and the oval and the customized arrowhead are now in metallic silver color with white and grey gradients and are placed vertically on the top. Below this design is the name of the company using the same designing details except that, the black have been replaced by blue color.
2010
This is the third Changan logo. The logo has a customized shape of a 4 nested square. The first layer is metallic grey, second is metallic silver with black dots scattered with equal distances, third is again the copy for the first layer, and the last layer has blue color filling. This layer has a capitalized letter ‘V’ designed in shiny white and silver color. The letter also represents wings. Below these design elements is the name of the company in Chinese in dark blue color.
2013
In this year, the company used almost the same design details as used in the 2010 Changan logo. The logo is still 4 nested customized square. The first and the third layer are metallic silver-grey colored and the second and the fourth layer have dark blue color. The letter ‘V’ is designed in same way and below it is the name of the company having the designing details taken from 1998 Changan logo.
2016
This Changan logo is a duller version of the 2013 Changan logo. A slight difference between the two variants is that this one has lighter blue color with visible white gradient.
2019
In this year, the company entered the minimalization era. The logo has the same design details as used in the 2016 Changan logo without the 2D effect. The name of the company is not added in this variant and letter ‘V’ is blue.
2020
This is the current Changan logo which is similar to the 2019 Changan logo. The logo has very minute differences; the first layer of the shape is thinner compared to the third blue layer. Whereas in the rest of Changan logos, the first layer was thicker than the third one. On the right side of these elements is the name of the company in Chinese and below it is in English designed using Gempire OTF 700 font type.

Changan is an automobile manufacturing company which is owned by the Chinese government. The company was founded in 1862 and its headquarters is in Chongqing. Initially, the company used to manufacture military supplies; this company was started by Li Hongzhang. Changan was then named as Shanghai Foreign Gun Bureau. In 1979, the company was restructured to manufacture Suzuki vehicles. Over the years, the company was handed over to the Chinese government and it focused on producing the country’s first vehicles. During these years, the company was rebranded to Changan and it manufactured minicars using Suzuki’s license.
