This is the first DeSoto logo. The logo is a golden circle with blue color fill. Inside the blue part is a customized shape of a badge or what seems like a crest in rust color with red color fill with vertical lines. This shape is divided into two parts; these parts are divided by a rusty colored horizontal line. The first part has the design of man (head, shoulders, and chest) in golden color and the man seems to be wearing an armor suite. On each side of the man are customized shapes of crests in golden color with red color fill. The second part consists of a customized shape of an eagle in dark rusty color. On each side of the eagle are designs of two shapes of what seems like pieces of chess in rusty color. The company has not given out much information about the crest and chess piece shapes designs.

This is the second logo of DeSoto. The logo is a 3 nested circle. The first layer is in reddish orange color, the second is yellow, and the last has yellow and brown vertical and horizontal lines with inward direction to the DeSoto image designed in the center facing right. This logo is colorful; armor, skin, beard, mustache, and clothes are colored. This logo also has a lot of designing details like the shining in the helmet, facial expressions, and clothing style.
1961

This is the current logo of DeSoto. This is the kind of logo that was seen on the cars. The logo is a pointy crest. The bottom is pointier compared to the top. The border of the logo is metallic silver and the top part of the crest has black color fill with a design of an eagle spreading its wings. The eagle is designed in white color with black color fill. Below the eagle design are 5 horizontal lines in metallic silver and black color. Below it is a rectangular part with the name of the company designed in metallic silver color on a black background. Below it are hollow spaces.
The center of the crest has 4 parts. The top left part is same like the bottom right part. This part has blue color fill with a white eagle having grey border. There are 3 silver glasses below the eagle. The top right part is in yellow color with 3 black small crests with white color fill. The company was first created in Auburn, Indiana, in 1912 by Glenn Fry, Hayes Fry, H.J. Clark, V.H. Van, and L.M Fields. The company was first manufacturing horse buggies and was called the Zimmerman Manufacturing Company. The Zimmerman Manufacturing Company was first started in 1886 and it entered the automobile industry in 1908. The company was bought by Auburn Automobile Company in 1916. The DeSoto company was created as a subsidiary of Zimmerman automobiles. DeSoto was then purchased by Chrysler. The company was made a division of Chrysler to compete with Willys, Hudson, Studebaker, and Pontiac.
