This is the EDAG logo. The logo has a set of unique elements that make a minimalist design. The left side of the logo has different sizes of grey horizontal lines. There are three same-sized grey lines with equal distances designed on top of each other. The center line has an incomplete rectangle; the left part of the rectangle is missing. These set of lines and shape make up the letter ‘E’ representing the company name. On its right is the name of the company designed in grey with all uppercase letters using customized Calibri Body Bold font type. The incomplete letter hovering on the center line represents uniqueness in the EDAG vehicles and also suggests design precision as the equal distance between the three lines didn’t break due to the rectangle.

EDAG Engineering Group AG is an engineering service provider company based in Germany that was founded in 1969 by Horst Eckard. The engineering services are conferred for the automotive industries concerning design, development, and production. EDAG made significant impact on the automotive industry and this enabled them to open 60 offices in 19 different countries. More of the company’s services also include production optimization, modules, limited series manufacturing, plant engineering, and production plant development. EDAG’s first customer was Ford followed by BMW. The third customer that got most success from EDAG was Volkswagen and it also dealt with Opel and Audi. EDAG started offering CAD (Computer Aided Design) services and also enabled it to launch its own prototype models. On the company’s 20th anniversary in 1989, EDAG got its biggest client, Ferrari.
