Elfin Sports Cars PTY LTD is an automobile manufacturing company in Australia that was founded in 1959 by Garrie Cooper and is currently headquartered in Melbourne. Other than producing sports cars, the company also manufactures motor racing cars. The company was acquired by Walkinshaw Group and was again acquired in 2023 by YTG (Young Timers Group). The company made another acquisition in 1998, it was bought by historic racing enthusiast and a businessman Nick Kovatch and Bill Hemming. Elfin sports cars have bagged 29 trophies and championships along with several Grand Prix awards and titles. Garrie was also a racing car driver and after his demise in 1982, the company was bought in 1983 by a mechanic John Porter, a racing driver Tony Edmondson, and Don Elliott. Before selling the business, Garrie’s father Cliff Cooper completed and delivered the pending orders. The company collaborated with GM Holden to manufacture the iconic MS8 Streamliner Concept and was displayed at the 2004 Melbourne International Motor Show.
