This is the first logo of Ford Mustang which was designed by Phil Clark who was Ford’s executive and John Najjar who was designer at Ford. This logo was introduced at the New York World’s Fair. This logo is called the “Pony”. This logo has a vertical rectangle with three colored stripes; red, white, and blue. The vertical rectangle has a thick black outline. This rectangle is overlapped by a horse which is running to the right. The horse is in black and white color. The three colored stripes represent American cars, patriotic spirit, unity, and heritage. The colors represent the USA flag. The running horse means speed, precision, and power.
1974
This is the second and current logo of Ford Mustang. The vertical rectangle known as the “Bar” is removed from the logo and only the galloping horse is there. This logo is also seen on the Ford Mustang’s cars.
