HiPhi is an electric vehicle manufacturing company in China that was founded by Ding Lei in 2019 and is currently headquartered in Shanghai. Its parent company is Human Horizons which and its founder is the same. Human Horizons signed a business joint venture with Dongfeng Yueda KIA to manufacturing HiPhi vehicles. The contract was about co-operative manufacturing. The first model of the company was launched in 2020, HiPhi X, which is an electric full-sized crossover SUV. The second model is HiPhi Z which is a 5-door luxury GT version of HiPhi X. The HiPhi X model was displayed at the 2022 Chengdu Motor Show. The HiPhi Y model was displayed at the 2023 Shanghai International Show which is a medium-size electric SUV. In the same show, the company announced to open its operation centers in Norway and Germany. This enabled the company to launch its market in European countries. 2018 was a big year for the company because it launched 5 models; HiPhi X, HiPhi 1 Concept, HiPhi Concept U, HiPhi Concept A, and HiPhi H.
