The Hupmobile was launched in 1909 and was closed in 1940. Its headquarters was in Michigan, USA and was founded by Bobby Hupp. The founder joined hands with Charles Hastings who worked with Oldsmobile. The company was first named as Hupp Motor Car Company. The company was raised by Hastings along with 4 other investors; Edwin Denby, John Baker, Joseph Drake, and J. Walter Drake. Some employees of Oldsmobile also joined the company and in the same year, the founder’s brothers also left their jobs and joined the family business. Hupp Motors gained a lot of fame at the 1909 automobile show and launched 500 vehicles in the same year. By the next year, the company launched 5000 vehicles. The company got closed in 1940 due to multiple reasons like financial struggles and competition.
